AcademicWorks Winter Release: Improved Scholarship Matching and Donor Communications

This past weekend, AcademicWorks provided enhancements to help find the most exceptional candidate for a scholarship.  These enhancements also included some tools to streamline communications with donors. Let's take a deeper look at what these enhancements mean for AcademicWorks users. 

Improved Auto-Matching Functionality

Auto-match functionality is one of many ways that applicants may apply for and be matched to scholarships using the AcademicWorks Platform. We have transformed the way auto-match scholarships work to make it easier for you to find the most exceptional candidates.  With this update, new functionality includes the ability to: 

  • View "point-in-time" qualifications for each applicant.  You can select a date, and see answers on the general application as they existed on that date. 
  • Alter qualifications even after an opportunity's application window has closed.  This functionality allows you to experiment with more restrictive or less restrictive qualifications to either narrow or broaden your applicant pool.  

NEW Fund Bulletin

Post updates to donors about the status of their fund, project updates, scholarship recipients, and disbursements in on user-friendly feed. For example if a donor has contributed funds for the completion of a new building on campus, you can publish project updates (including pictures) for the donor to see within AcademicWorks! 
 

Fund Snapshot Legend 

Within AcademicWorks, select donors have the ability to log-in and view current fund financial data with the fund snapshot.  With this new enhancement you are able to provide definitions of the field names used on the fund snapshot. This will provide donors with a clarification about how fund financial information is communicated.
